Announcing SecondSite™ Interzone - DR replication for our cloud customers

19-Jul-2017 11:57:25 / by Elizabeth Bingham

We’ve launched new features for SecondSite™, our real-time disaster recovery replication solution built on the award-winning Zerto platform. We’ve expanded our innovative DR product to provide more choice when it comes to replication and recovery for our cloud customers, with SecondSite™ Interzone.

Going beyond replicating virtualised IT environments from on-premise into Zettagrid cloud, businesses whose environment is already in Zettagrid cloud can now replicate into other availability zones. For $109/mth/VM, existing customers with Virtual Data Centres in Zettagrid can now replication between zones.

This means if an outage impacts operations due to a Ransomware, network admin error or a disaster, their IT is up and running within minutes in a different zone until the primary site recovers. Journaling back to before the event took place means minimised financial and operational impact to the business.

Testing and deployment of SecondSite™ Interzone is fast, with the lowest recovery point objectives (RPOs) in the market today. Performing a full failover takes only a few minutes, with next to no impact on day-to-day operations. Users probably won’t even know when operations have failed over into a different availability zone.

With instant deployment and ease of use, SecondSite™ Interzone represents a great opportunity for channel partners to introduce their customers to cloud, Virtual Replication (VR), Virtual Data Centres (VDC) and a range of managed services channel partners can provide them.
