VMware vFORUM 2019 Sydney ICC – Zettagrid (www.zettagrid.com) today announced the company has opened new cloud availability zones in Adelaide, Brisbane in addition to the Singapore opened last week.
The opening of these new VMware Cloud Verified locations increases Zettagrid’s geographic coverage to eight locations including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Singapore and two zones in Jakarta. Each location will offer all Zettagrid cloud IaaS, Backup and Disaster Recovery services.
“We are executing on our aggressive strategy to expand our cloud services to all major Australian capitals and grow throughout South East Asia.” said Nathan Harman, Managing Director of Zetta Group.
He continued: “Each location offers unique opportunities. We see Brisbane as large market with a limited number of cloud competitors which makes it very attractive. In regards to Adelaide, this is definitely an under-served market. They have strong engineering, health, transport and some unique digital industries. Our research suggests that Adelaide is also seeking local cloud services to couple with their investment in the GigCity communications initiative. We are finding that both data sovereignty and network latency are key drivers for the growth of cloud in all markets”.

This growth has resulted in Zettagrid opening a second Jakarta zone in the last 12 months. Our new Singapore zone signals our intention to continue to expand in South East Asia. Singapore is a buoyant market with opportunities everywhere, a self-service cloud is a common requirement for customers.”
