What is the Zettagrid VMware MCP?
Zettagrid provides access to an open source, community-maintained Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for VMware Cloud Director. This tool enables customers to connect to and manage their VMware environment using clients such as Claude Desktop and Cursor.
The MCP server allows seamless integration between AI-powered tools and VMware infrastructure management, enabling customers to perform operations like:
- Managing virtual machines and vApps
- Monitoring resource allocation across VDCs
- Configuring firewall rules and network settings
- Accessing console connections
- Viewing organisational and zone information
